As a classification society, The Caribbean Register is better known as ClassCR or simply CR, develops rules for safeguarding vessels, their crews, and the marine environment.

In order to help ensure the safety of the ships on our register, ClassCR provides a full range of survey, auditing, and services, including classification and statutory surveys, material and equipment approvals, auditing and registration of ship safety management systems and security systems, as well as certification of quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems in accordance with international standards.
